Buying a Firearm Online

Is buying a gun online legal?

Absolutely, and countless firearms are legally bought and sold online every day -- but there may be restrictions, depending on where you live. Always read up on local laws before purchasing a firearm online.

How does it work?

Buying a gun online works very differently than buying anything else, since you must be subjected to a background check and fill out a Form 4473 in person, under federal law, before receiving it. However, it's still a very common and easy thing to do.

STEP 1: Buy the gun online just like any other product, and list the shipping address as whatever local FFL (licensed gun store in your area) that you'd like to pick it up at.

STEP 2: Reach out to us by email at (if we haven't already emailed you first) and let us know what gun store you've chosen. If you really want to speed things up, reach out to your store and have them send us a copy of their FFL document. They do this all the time and will immediately know what you're talking about. Either way, we take care of it from there.

STEP 3: We ship your firearm as soon as we get your local FFL's license. They'll give you a call as soon as it shows up at their store, and then all that's left for you to do is to come pick it up and do the standard transfer and background check just like any other local gun purchase! If it's your first time buying a gun, don't worry -- your local store will walk you through it, and you should have your new gun in no time!
